Assalamualaikum and greetings everyone,
Thank you for joining the Microcredential Course on Foundations of Sustainable Forest Management; Module Healthy Site, Healthy Tree. This course provides fundamental knowledge of forest site quality, tree growth, and site suitability. Throughout this module, you will explore the key factors that influence forest site quality, how site productivity and tree growth can be assessed, and how suitable tree species can be selected for different site conditions.
You will also learn how soil, water, climate, topography, and biological factors influence tree growth and forest productivity. The module introduces practical approaches such as Site Index and site–species matching to help you understand site conditions and make informed decisions when selecting tree species.
