      Synopsis: Stand Growth and Increment

      This module introduces participants to the basic processes of tree growth and how they contribute to forest stand development. Participants will explore primary growth, which increases tree height and length, and secondary growth, which increases stem diameter by forming new woody tissues.

      The module also helps participants understand how changes in tree height and diameter contribute to forest stand development. By the end of the module, participants will be able to explain primary and secondary growth and their roles in tree and stand development.
