      Course Overview
      This 6-hour micro-credential course introduces participants to the fundamentals of tree and forest stand growth, forest productivity, and sustainable yield management. Delivered through three digital badges, the course explores how trees grow, how stand growth changes over time, and how growth and inventory information can support forest management decisions.
      Participants will learn about primary and secondary growth and how these processes contribute to tree and stand development. The course also introduces key measures of forest growth and productivity, including Current Annual Increment (CAI), Periodic Annual Increment (PAI), and Mean Annual Increment (MAI), and how these indicators can be used to understand changes in stand productivity over time.
      In addition, participants will learn how to use basic forest inventory and growth information to support cutting-limit determination and optimum-yield decisions. Upon completion, participants will be able to explain tree and stand growth processes, interpret basic growth and yield information, and use inventory data to support informed decisions for productive and sustainable forest management.

      This course is a self-paced learning programme consisting of three modules covering nine topics. Each topic includes learning materials, interactive activities, and assessments (quizzes) that must be completed.
      •
      The instructor may monitor your progress and activities through the platform to ensure you complete the course.
      •
      Completing and passing all assessments is mandatory. The passing mark for all assessments is 6.5 out of 10 (or 65%), and you are only allowed three attempts for each assessment.
      •
      Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Competency, indicating that you have passed all course assessments.
