Halal assurance today extends beyond declarations and documentation. In complex food systems and global supply chains, halal integrity may be challenged by contamination, substitution, adulteration, mislabelling, undocumented ingredients, or weak traceability. This course introduces halal forensics as a systematic and evidence-based approach to examine such cases.

Learners will be guided through the logic of forensic investigation in the halal context: identifying the issue, securing evidence, selecting analytical approaches, interpreting results, and preparing conclusions that are scientifically sound and contextually relevant to halal decision-making.
